'Cordyline', 2023
Performance/participatory piece
Exploration of walking and wondering as a form communing and how we are all intertwined with our environment, using the leaf of the Cordyline tree (lesser known but originally as the 'Ti Kouka'). Participants were asked to hold on to a piece of rope I had twisted together from different trees leaves accompanied by the sound of me weaving through a speaker. They then were asked to close their eyes if they felt comfortable and feel what they were holding until asked to take a 'walk' with everyone and the cordyline until they felt it was enough.
