Where my FMP was made: My bedroom and College

Manga Self Portrait Task was to draw ourselves as an animal (bat/cat), favourite colour for skin (purple), eyes as the colour of our birthstone (pink diamond) = this	My sisters bedroom wall My sisters walls have always inspired me to decorate my room with pictures. I've been gradually adding since the first isolation in the covid 19 pandemic. i thought it would make sense to explore the actual art of collage for my FMP as I was already making in the medium and was always surrounded by it.	zig zag like my sister

I was also inspired to do collage since i felt some of the best pieces I put in for my university portfolios were my 2 collage pieces I did for the Summer Project. I wanted to revisit it because I loved it so much but never went in to depth with it.

Saturday 20th March 2021

A UWE Bristol offer holder day task. I got to have a feel for what there lessons would be like for an hour and a half. We were asked to make art like a certain artist would and sell it to art buyers (the tutors) as if we are the artist pitching our art by explaining and pleading its worth.

I saw the lyrics written down and I had to possess them for myself so I used a black pastel to get it raw looking which I like and I was very happy it fitted the age perfectly.	I felt as a photo the poser looked plain so I decided to edit it. I used my phones own editing process and turned saturation and vignette up a lot.

Thursday 1st - Friday 2nd April 2021



		A turning point. I turned the cut out photograph to glue it to paper and realised its behind looked more interesting and I preferred it much more. I like the rare and difficult to replicate shape of it and the pattern of what feels like a missing piece to a jigsaw of an image. I think I want to focus on shapes more after discovering this.

	Someone mentioned drawing skulls from the side of your page to stretch them out and webs because we'd previously drawn a manga Spiderman so I closed one eye from different angles and I made this.

I left this tape on my desk the week before and realised it was pretty automatic. It was quick and easy to make. So I decided to lay around with the masking tape; tearing it up and sticking it down

Fox and the Sound This is a collection of doodles I did unrelated to work. Probably when procrastinating my own work and I had this idea and had to get it down which I'm now including it as art for my FMP because it uses the methods of quick art I was searching for. Then I kept drawing and these are what I made. I loved drawing these. They were quick and felt like me and my style- rough and plain.	Fox's Close-Up	Cat in The Puddle

Cat In a Puddle Extended Version

I used Felicty's drawing tablet to draw my cat in a puddle again. I wanted it to have a story. I n this the cat has stepped in a puddle which is a portal. it wakes up a vertical portal which is a mirror and cats, which I actually ended up drawing more like rabbits,

were jumping out to greet the cat. They'd come to see it as it also like them had traces of glitter.

Maybe I'll explore drawing more when I'm at university doing another project. I'll probably be illustrating my dreams ad random thoughts by then.

Idea for showcase:

Blow up picture of a favourite piece?
(I don't have a favourite piece and my work isn't about a final polished piece. it's about the process. I want to showcase that.
Use a projector with a Mac of my production journey
Create small zines to hand out to visitors with images of maybe 8 of my favourite works
