A UWE Bristol offer holder day task. I got to have a feel for what there lessons would be like for an hour and a half. We were asked to make art like a certain artist would and sell it to art buyers (the tutors) as if we are the artist pitching our art by explaining and pleading its worth.

Cat In a Puddle Extended Version
I used Felicty's drawing tablet to draw my cat in a puddle again. I wanted it to have a story. I n this the cat has stepped in a puddle which is a portal. it wakes up a vertical portal which is a mirror and cats, which I actually ended up drawing more like rabbits,
were jumping out to greet the cat. They'd come to see it as it also like them had traces of glitter.
Maybe I'll explore drawing more when I'm at university doing another project. I'll probably be illustrating my dreams ad random thoughts by then.

Idea for showcase:
-
Blow up picture of a favourite piece?
-
(I don't have a favourite piece and my work isn't about a final polished piece. it's about the process. I want to showcase that.
-
Use a projector with a Mac of my production journey
-
Create small zines to hand out to visitors with images of maybe 8 of my favourite works

I wanted to record my work and I was getting tired taking a photo every time I stuck something down so I towered some textbooks, placed my phone poking over the edge and recorded me making in time-lapse.
I was really struggling to actually sprinkle the paper and had to ask someone else to show me how to do it. I also wondered whether time-lapsing was the best for just dropping and sticking paper and if a lived video might be better. But time-lapsing does speed up time. I did find it was really boring to watch back the gluing stage but I guess I haven't made this for entertainment.

Asked ink Hafza if I could have the ink she'd used and left on the table in the middle of classroom and she said yeah. I've never really used ink a part form in Lucia's workshop. This could work a lot better than paint. It dries faster and it has a really nice matte finish when thick. I think this could be added to my torn paper pages easily.
Exhibition idea: Could photocopy my sketchbook, print the best pages off and cover a wall space like wallpaper?
